I was about to prepare the specs for the updated CAT cable and found that the latest revision of my sketch already had the hardware flow control loopback:
While travelling I don’t have the access to the inventory. Can anybody with the store bought cable ring the continuity between pins 1 & 2 on MiniDin8 to confirm the connection is there?

I just checked with my Fluke, and I don’t have any continuity between pins 1 and 2. I also checked my RT systems cable and there is also no continuity between those pins as well.

Good evening.
I am getting ready to setup my Digirig with my 710GA. I found this post looking for the config change to set it up for rs232. I noticed that there are now two sets of cables when I search for the 710. When I ordered mine back in October, I’m pretty sure there was only the one for FT-8xx listed that said it also worked with the 710. I had the Digirig setup for my yaesu ht as I bought that cable at the same time. I’m moving the Digirig to the 710 and configuring it for rs232, but looks like I need a different cable set (at least the CAT cable) than the FT-8xx that I originally bought.
Just to verify, the current 710/v71a cable set in the store needs to have the loopback corrected on the cat cable. So I should wait to get the 710/v71a cable set?

Yes, you can setup your 710 with audio+PTT using MiniDin6 cable you already have. Later I’ll have a corrected serial cable for CAT control (optional) and we can arrange the exchange.

The store inventory now has the corrected CAT cable that includes hardware flow control loopback as discussed above (CTS/RTS connected).
