Well after messing with a lot of settings and a few factory resets I now have consistent PTT engagement.
But only at 4800 baud, if I increase the baud rate at all I run the risk of PTT failure.
Not sure why that is, I assume its an issue with the radio but I haven’t tried all different combinations of PCs and cables to be sure, I am just happy I have basic functionality which will do for now.
Thanks again for all the support! If anything I will fix it in true HAM fashion, time to buy another radio
