Hey I listened to your audio but it really didnt sound like anything unusual. Can you post full screen shots of the software youre running? The photo of just the waterfall isnt much to go on. Without a lot more visual info I cant tell what the problem even is. There should be noise and waterfall color with your squelch off. The waterfalls color is determined by your waterfall settings.

I solved this by going with the audio-only cable.

My FTM-6000E had 4 Ohms between Case and Minus of Power.
I made a Ground Cable from the screw of the antenna to Ground/Minus of my Power and my Radio now “hears” good, the noise on the cable is now in an acceptable level.

I only use battery.
i am using a switching power supply.
but: my FT-857D and my -ft-991A does not have this problem.
FTM-6000 is per se very noisy.
