The issue is described as: I then ran Digirig troubleshooting steps. Ticking the playback option showed me where the problem was. (see the 1st screenshot.) **The playback only played a split second then became silent.** That means the RX signal did come into USB device but not into computer/OS somehow. I had a similar problem setting up a new Dell laptop for someone else recently. The culprit was Waves Maxx Audio, which comes bundled with Dell computers.
