# Kenwood ts-480 radio settings for varahf

Setting up for winlink using varahf. I need radio and varahf settings. As it stands, when I start a session, the radio immediately goes into transmit. What mode should be selected on radio or does it matter? what radio configuration should be setup in vara radio settings? Are there any menu settings on the radio that need to be configured? digirig is selected for receive and transmit. I am usung digirig cable set for this radio.
