I have digirig 1.9 RS-232 with the V71 cables. I tested the digirig IAW the suggested vid, and it gave me the loopback values. I rang out the cable. It rang true to the digirig posted schematics 20260303, so it is correct. I can’t connect to the V71 PC port. I then tried another USB-DB9 RS-232 adapter with the Kenwood part, and it worked with chirp and MCP-2A. The digirig specs indicate that it can’t control RTS-CTS, so we are getting what we paid for. It seems that we need a custom cable to use digirig 1.9. I am looking for individuals who may have already demonstrated if this is possible or not. I’ll update here if I find a way to use digirig.
