# VX-6R Cable Stuck in the socket

The VX-6R threaded cable is stuck in the radio and I am not able to remove it. It will turn but doesn’t come out. Anyone has similar issue and how do I remove the cable?

If the outer molding turns without the core coming out then the cable is no more.
I would recommend unscrewing antenna to gain better access to the area, pulling out the cable and using pliers to unscrew the inner core of the connector.
I will replace the damaged cable (PM for arrangements). Please make sure to not apply excessive torque when connecting it and remove antenna when installing to have a solid grip on the connector while doing it.
