878UVII+ not transmitting with DigiRig Lite

So I’m using the new beta version of RadioMail with the Software modem built in. While I have tried it with my FT3D and can get the radio to transmit I haven’t been able to with my AnyTone. Squelch is at zero just like the Yaesu and the volume is set correctly using the sound meter in the app but the AnyTone doesn’t want to transmit while the Yaesu does. Wasn’t sure if any one else was having the same issues. TIA and 73

John,
If the radio doesn’t key up, please test the cable by simulating PTT as shown here:

Ok, been a long day and even a longer evening. So apparently when I respond to the email notifications to these the phone makes it where I can’t see what I’m typing. Now this works through the web.
Ok where was i? I couldn’t replicate what you did in the video. Frequency was red and gold, test. PTT was greyed out. Plus, I didn’t know what radio to select at the top. Anyways after trying the DRL and the 878 one more time I twisted the two connections after plugging them in and viola the PTT worked. RadioMail seems to need adjusting though because the squawks were really short in duration. Wish I had some real time off these days to work this stuff out but life is in the way right now.

Glad to hear you are making progress.

Radio selection only makes sense for the CAT capable transceivers. It’s not the case with HTs so the value should be “none”.

For the reference here is the screenshot from the video at 2:02 with the settings to try (use the actual Digirig’s COM port number in PTT section).

I still tried no rig and can’t access test PTT. Nonetheless it seemed that the barrel connection on the 3.5 wasn’t making contact. Twisted them and it worked. Still can’t connect to local gateway. I’ve emailed the owner but nothing back in three days now. Guess I’ll have to save up and build my own.

If you are using Digirig Lite then select PTT by VOX. Although not supported by WSJT-X another available option is PTT by GPIO3.

PTT by RTS works with Digirig Mobile.
