For those that may not have done this addition to the DiGiRiG MoBiLe interface as yet, here is a simple way to add a small diameter shielded cable for CW KEYING your radio.
Drill a hole to closely match the diameter of your chosen cable on the end piece where the two
I/O ports are. make sure you drill in the correct area, for example, the PCB goes into the slots one way, to match the USB C socket. Otherwise you may not have enough room between the SERIAL an AUDIO sockets.
Connections are to the BLACK (Audio I/O) socket VIA the PCB PADS
Braid to SLEEVE
RTS switching to RING 2
Locate the BLACK (Audio I/O) socket and you will see three solder pads on one side (TIP, RING 1 and RING 2)and one pad on the other side of the socket, SLEEVE
Be careful!!
Solder the braid of your CW cable to the single pad . (SLEEVE)
Solder centre conductor of your CW KEY cable onto the pad closest to the edge of the PCB (Ring 2)
Select RTS for CW switching with what ever software you use.
Before you put the end back on, check if your cable is sending cw with a multimueter and / or a radio.
Screw the end back onto the digirig mobile!
NO other modifications are necessary
You are good to go.
