An adapted cable for the Anytone at5555+

Hi all,

For a long time I have considered the possibility of getting digital modes to work on my Anytone AT5555+. For the life of me I could not find a simple workaround that suited my low level of technical expertise and knowhow.

Thanks to digirig and a bit of simple soldering and a stab in the dark, I was able to simply convert digirig’s anytone at778uv cable into a perfectly workable cable for the AT5555+. Below is how I did it, step by step.

  1. Buy the at778uv cable from the digirig store.

  2. Cut the RJ45 connector off leaving as much cable for you to work with and correct any potential errors.

  3. Purchase a 4-pin microphone plug and solder the connectors using the following schematic.

(Note: Importantly this schematic shows the plug as if you are observing it from the solder side)

  4. Use a multimeter to check for continuity in your soldering to prevent any mishaps, then fire up WSJTX and operate PTT via RTS

If you have any questions then let me know!!
