Does “Wide FM” (VARA) work with the Anytone AT-D578UV Plus and Digirig Mobile using the Anytone AT-D578 cable?

Because the audio is picked from the mic, it is pre-emphasized for voice and that limits radio’s use for wide data modes. Maybe still worth a try - vara may just not climb as high in the modem speed as it would do with a flat audio that other radios make available at the accessory ports.
