Greetings:
I have the FTM300, DIGIRIG, and a Panasonic Toughbook. I performed the -20dB attenuation procedure and it dropped the VU level quite a bit. However I cannot lower the level any further. From the prospective of the PC the MIC level goes from 1 to 100. At a volume level of 1-10 the VU meter reads just under 50%. When I mute the MIC level the VU shows ZERO. Also the AGC on the PC is turned off.
Is it possible to add additional attenuation?
Thank you.
I do not know.
This is a good background level for Vara FM transmissions. Have you tried running Winlink Vara FM?

Could you confirm that your goal is to run Winlink Vara FM? I may have misunderstood.

Yes, I am running VARA-FM. I want to adjust the MIC volume lower but at volume level 1 the input on the VU meter is just below half. I want to lower the volume to about 1/4 and test.
I will have to research more and see of there is a menu setting in the FTM-300 which may lower the volume on the data side.
The DIGIRIG is a wonderful product and I am currently very happy with the results after applying the -20dB attenuation.
