Audio Driver fails intalling on Win7

Installing Audio Driver fails

I have trouble by installing the Audio Driver on Win7 - I need a Link for the proper Driver for the Digirig.

Thank you for help!

What is the driver that you are installing?
Digirig’s audio codec is a standard USB device and doesn’t normally require installation of any drivers.

Thanks for answer,

yes, on Windows 10 there was no problem, but on Windows 7, like the picture above, the driver would not be installed. Therefore I need a driver, that will work.

I tried extra a new installation with a backup of my Windows 7 partition, but it fails again… I did not know, what I shall do on this point.

as above, the digirig uses a c-media chip that can go all the way back to xp.
no proprietary audio chip.

Thanks for the note that I tried to install the driver given there, but unfortunately the operating system was rejected as not compatible …

I will continue the matter under Win10, I had no problems there.

Thanks for the help to here, maybe someone else has an idea

So what happens if you just delete soundcard device in the device manager and scan the system for hardware changes? Is Digirig’s sound card detected then? Are there any error messages?

Thank you, nice Tipp, I will try it soon and will report :ok_hand:

if you’re exposing a Win 7 machine to the internet, there are probably so many Iranian and Chinese bots installed they’re crowding out your audio drivers

For Win7 I have brought all the audio drivers from Intel and Realtek to the latest, but unfortunately it doesn’t help - so I stay with Win10.

I am aware that Win7 is now unsure. I already take various measures against attacks. If I don’t need the internet, it will be disconnected.
