I already owned DigirigLite and I am able to run it with Winlink and Vara FM with handhelds Alinco DJ-MD5 and Alinco DJ-V57 - of course after some lots of experiments with audio levels (two PCs with Win11) 
Last week I received new Alinco DR-638 and another Digirig (not Lite) with cable Kenwood, Alinco GX16 Mic Cable (variant with MIC 8pin plug only). After many experiments I am able to make radio to transmit (I can hear the Vara signal on other PC), but I am not able to get reply from Alinco DR-638 to PC. Obviously I can see on radio that it is receiving signal. New Digirig seems to be OK, while I can use it with handhelds in any cofiguration.
I am aware that there is setting in DR-638 for handspeaker (ON/OFF/MUTE MAIN SPEAKER) and main speaker (INTERNAL/EXTERNAL).
My (ideal) idea was to send audio signal to PC from MIC 8pin conector and also be able to listen signal from main speaker (with radio settings hanspeaker-ON, main speaker-INT). But with this settings (and even with different one) I do not get any audio to PC (even with DigirigLite). Please do you have any advice? Am I missing something in radio settings? Can I check the cable myself? Or is it needed to order the second variant of cable (with 8pin+3,5mm plug to radio)?
