Will any of the cables work for an older IC-320 mobile rig?
Thanks - George VY1GP
Looks like RJ-45 mic jack. Found a manual here, but not pinout there. Possible that itβs a standard ICOM pinout. You can ring pins 5 & 7 to the chassis and see if there is connectivity. That will indicate a good chance of the match.
Another interesting option is the optional accessory port (if installed) or the header on the board:
That would be the cleaner way to connect leaving the mic socket available for voice operation.
DB9 pin 2 or 3 β 3.5mm TRRS tip (RIG_AFOUT)
DB9 pin 4 β 3.5mm TRRS ring 1 (RIG_AFIN)
DB9 pin 5 β 3.5mm TRRS ring 2 (RIG_PTT)
DB9 pin 7, 8, 9 β 3.5mm TRRS sleeve (GND)
Hi Dennis,
Thanks for you quick response and information. I have some DigiRig units so I will order an ICOM RJ-45 Cable and test it.
