Cable for Retevis Ailunce HS4

This transceiver doesn’t have an accessory port so the interfacing will have to be done via mic/speaker ports.

The audio cable for Digirig will look like this:

MIC pin 1 (GND) → 3.5mm TRRS sleeve (GND)
MIC pin 2 (MIC) → 3.5mm TRRS ring 1 (RIG_AFIN)
MIC pin 3 (PTT) → 3.5mm TRRS ring 2 (RIG_PTT)

SPK 3.5mm TRS tip (SPK) → 3.5mm TRRS tip (RIG_AFOUT)

Existing Digirig cables of similar topology (e.g. RJ-45 variant) can be used as a starting point for the homebrew cable build.

i don’t have experience with making my own cables. Are there resources that I can utilize to learn how to make a cable for this radio?

You can lookup training materials on soldering in general, but for this cable build specifically I would recommend first finding a matching female mic connector and then soldering it in place of RJ45 jack in the store cable. This will dramatically simplify the project compared to building the cable from scratch.

As far as connector goes, to me it looks like GX??-4 connector type. You can measure the outside thread size in millimeters and put that value in the type (e.g. GX12-4 or GX16-4 etc.)
