Cable for Vero VGC VR-N7600

The radio uses a common GX16-8 mic connector, but the pinout doesn’t match any of the existing store cables. Additionally, there isn’t a PTT line on the connector so the radio will have to be keyed up via the serial CAT command. It’s unclear if it will be possible to re-use the profile from some existing transceiver model or the protocol will have to be sniffed out and reverse engineered. The chances that the manufacturer publishes the documentation for CAT interface are quite slim.

On the chance that somebody takes on this project, there’s the pinout for Digirig cable:

GX16-8 pin 1 (AF OUT) → Audio 3.5mm TRRS tip (RIG_AFOUT)
GX16-8 pin 2 (MIC-AN) → GX16-8 pin 4 (GND)
GX16-8 pin 3 (MIC-AP) → Audio 3.5mm TRRS ring 1 (RIG_AFIN)
GX16-8 pin 4 (GND) → Audio 3.5mm TRRS sleeve (GND)

GX16-8 pin 6 (RXD) → Serial 3.5mm TRRS tip (RIG_RXD)
GX16-8 pin 7 (TXD) → Serial 3.5mm TRRS tip (RIG_TXD)
GX16-8 pin 4 (GND) → Serial 3.5mm TRRS sleeve (GND)
