Using an ICOM IC-2730 radio, I selected the Icom RJ-45 cable, but do not know which CAT selection to mark before buying. (Support is slow to answer.) Thank you.
The CAT configuration only matters when using serial CAT control.
ICOM IC-2730 is not CAT capable so the serial configuration doesn’t matter. Please pick default Logic Levels unless you have other considerations.

Thank you, Denis.
That help a great deal. I off to ordering NOW.

the ic-2730a is CI-V capable but lists the 478u cable.
the 478 is trs not ts like the traditional ci-v capable icoms.
so if it were me, i’d pick ci-v and wire up a trs to trrs cable for remote control
good luck

I stand corrected re. CAT capability. Is one of these a CI-V port?
Manual doesn’t disclose the connection:
But there are mentions of CI-V in menu settings:
There is no CI-V cable in the matching Digirig kit, but this is indeed a quick homebrew.
We’ll see what happens when I received (Tuesday maybe) the DigiRig & cable. I chose the default option. I have NOT received anything from the Digirig people.
Jerry
the post above you is the ‘digirig people’
sp2 is the ci-v connection.
tip/sleeve connections on a TRS plug is what it ‘calls for’

Yes, I had noted that in my manual. I don’t remember when I noted that, but it’s there. I bought the cable and we’ll see what happens after the holiday.
