Cannot program Anytone D878UVii Plus using Digirig

Hello,

Traveling and needed to program some repeaters into my D878UVii Plus. So much easier with code plug than manually keying in 10 menus.

Anyway, break out my Digirig and cables (green). I’ve been successful doing WINLINK with Digirig and the D878UVii (using the black cable). Ensured that the laptop could see the device on COM3 in device manager. Set the CPS to COM3. The radio was plugged into the green serial port in the Digirig.

I attempted 3X to read from radio. No joy each time. Each time the CPS software said that it could not see the radio. All software and firmware have been updated.

What am I missing? Nothing in instructions tell me to do anything differently. I know Digirig tested the product on the D878UVii Plus before selling it. So, it must work. What step am I missing?

Unlike Baofengs with the serial UART connection at the accessory port, the D878 has the USB connection lines on the same port. With this HT model you’ll need to use the programming cable supplied with the radio.
