Chirp with BTECH UV-25x4

I have a DigiRig Logic Levels - with Baofeng HT Digirig cables. Using the digirig cable (green connectors) I get an error that it can’t communicate with the radio. Running on Mac - but same result with Chirp on Windows. Using the Chirp that BTECH pointed me to (Chrip-next). The USB port is properly recognized and set. I also saw a not here to turn menu 61 ‘on’ - there are two settings other than ‘off’ - and I tried both of them.
The Mic works - I was able to use it to set the menu item. I have ordered the official BTECH cable - and that is my next thing to try - getting the digirig out of the loop. But wondering if there is some other advice here?

So - a couple of days in to looking at this. The UV-25x4 isn’t specifically listed on the page for the Baofeng cable (https://digirig.net/product/baofeng-cables/ ) and perhaps there is a reason for that. BTECH says that the socket for the dual plug makes it compatible with various HTs - but perhaps it isn’t really. Has anyone had success with the Baofeng cables either serial or audio with a BTECH UV-25x4?
