I am having trouble finding how to configure PTT for my Yaesu. I uncommented PTT COM1 RTS and changed it to PTT COM1 CM108 as per recommendations from Chat GPT but when sending a message through SMSGTE it never sends, it just sits there after hitting the send button. I have sent texts to my phone but never received anything. I think this is just a matter of configuring PTT but my experience in this area is limited.
The accuracy of AI’s recommendation depends on the model of Digirig you have. Is it Digirig Mobile or Digirig Lite?
It is Digirig mobile.
for the mobile, you’ll want COM#, not CM108
the # (number of the comport) will be specific to your computer and probably not 1
are you running windows or linux ?
windows, the comport number can be found in the device manager.
