Connecting to web-based KiwiSDR?

I have a KiwiSDR system, which is available through a web interface (my radio). I’d like to use a Digirig to try pulling out some modes that the built-in software doesn’t offer.

I think I can just hook the Digirig up to the sound output of the computer running the website, then run FLDigi against the USB serial input from the Digirig.

Will this work?

Do I need to cut the PTT traces in Digirig to completely disable trying to back-feed anything into my sound card?

Thanks!

If I understand it correctly, you are trying to hook two soundcards to each other? If you want an audio loop then you can do that internally with the virtual sound card such as:

No, I’m trying to figure out if I can route radio audio which is coming in thru a browser into a digirig. Radio is a web-based Kiwisdr shortwave. I want to decode signals coming in from it.

The radio’s audio is already in the computer. Digirig is also bringing the audio to the computer. What is the purpose of the hardware outside of the computer?

Duh! The light bulb just came on. I see what you’re saying. TBH I wasn’t sure about whether the Digirig was doing some magic on the signal, though.
