Just got my digirig lite in today. I know it has probably been posted before but my searches found nothing. Does anyone have step by step instructions on how to get the computer to talk to the radio? I have soundmodem downloaded as well.
I was able to set up JS8call fine, but not having any luck with Winlink.

DigiRig Lite works great. Two things to note:
Unlike its big brother (sister), Lite doesn’t show up under usb hub devices…it shows up as a usb audio device in Win11 (“audio devices” in devmgr). That threw me for a minute. Knowing that little tidbit, it’s actually easier to set up than DRmob.
I’ve noticed that several times, I’ve used DRlite with Winlink+VARA FM and after I finish w/ WL, I power off radio (Kenwood TM-241a), but leave DRLite plugged in to the USB3 port (using DRlite USBC/3 adapter). I come back later and it’s like Windoze has forgotten about the audio devices. I unplug & replug the cable and then they appear. May be that Windoze goes to sleep and wakes up crabby or my Chinese mini-PC does something goofy. In any case, if you see it, it’s a simple work around.
Oh, one more thing…if you are using VARA, you need to set up PTT with “RA Board” as there is no serial port. Other interfaces may have something similar.

there is a setting buried in the windows ‘power management’ that allows windows to turn off devices.
necessitating an unplug/plug.
turn that ‘feature’ off, and plugged in things should stay ‘alive’ all the time
