Afternoon - I have a digirig 1.9 I got around three years ago, and a newer one I got last year. I finally started to utilize them, and the 1.9 is REALLY NOISY. Generates a bunch of noise back to the the computer and generates rf noise that my FT3DR can pick up (as soon as I start the digirig in the software).
Were these recalled or something, as this is not usable. I switched over the the newer digirig and it’s “normal.”

Dexter, can you please send the screenshot of the WSJT-X waterfall from the troubled unit while no transceiver-side cables are connected?
It might have been the cable, because i good not get it to recognize until tried a new never used one.
But I just used the waterfall, not another (sound) modem yet. Vertical lines are connected to the radio, then disconnected. Genuine Digi rig sourced cable.
If the noise is present with the cable/radio connected but disappears when cable is unplugged, then it is not produced inside of Digirig. Could be coming from the radio or externally induced in the cable.
