Digirig-891 and WSJTX

For about 5 years I have been using WSJTX with my FTDX10 with no problems both on Windows 10 and Linux mint. I recently bought a FT-891 as my desk it so small. If I try and get WSJTX to work under Windows I get the “USB device not recognized.” I am using the same USB A to USB B cable I used on the FTDX10 with a adapter to USB C. In Mint WSJTX is receiving but have no CAT control. A picture of my lsusb results where no entrys work on radio setup in WSJTX. Here is the picture of the results. The C-Media Electronics is the one for the digirig. Any suggestions?

I’m thinking you should just get a cable from DigiRig and eliminate that adapter. I have seen YouTube videos where the guy replaced the cable with a good one and it worked. Not all cables are the same. I am willing to bet not all adapters are, either.
If you buy the cable from DigiRig, you can bet it won’t be the problem. And they have a built in ferrite at both ends to kill any “in-shack” RF.

Thanks for your reply. I am sure it was the adapter. I did order the digirig cable and it is to arrive today.
