Digirig 891 Com Port not showing up

I just received my Digirig 891 and plugged it into my laptop. Only the audio IDs are showing up but nothing for Com port. Nothing showing up under other devices, either. Tried 5 different USB data cables and 2 different computers with the same effect. I am using Windows 11 on both computers with 1 being a laptop and 1 being a desktop. Audio devices is picking it up just fine but not coms port or unidentified devices. On both machines, i confirm i have installed the correct driver. Digirig seems to be away till July 31st and so i’d like to see if this can be fixed before i return this digirig.

i ‘believe’ the dr-891 simply passes the comport from your radio via usb.
so the radio must be connected/turned on, in order to have that port present.

the dr-mobile has an onboard comport.
