I was watching a YT video on programming an FT-818 with CHIRP, as I’d had repeated difficulties programming repeaters manually. In the video a special cable was used to connect the radio to the PC. It occurred to me that the Digirig and cable I have might work with CHIRP.
Indeed it does! I had my local repeaters programmed and running in minutes without issue. Others probably have done this and it never occurred to me to search this forum first.
