Does anyone know if the 8 pin din plug for the Xiego G90 the same as for a plug for the Yeasu 817. This may or may be the problem that I have for audio output from the radio?

It is not. G90 cable is audio/PTT while Yaesu cable is for serial CAT control.
Even though mechanically these two cables are the same, electrically they have different connections and purpose therefore they’re not interchangeable.
