Digirig lite and FTM-100/400 cable question

Looking at the digirig lite for use with either my ftm-100 or ftm-400. Right now I have the standard digirig and the 9600 baud cable, but I don’t know what limitations I’m facing with the lite in comparison. It seems like right now the only suitable cable is the 1200 baud lite cable since the lite doesn’t have the serial output. Neither radio have CAT control so I don’t care about that, just looking for max speeds with VARA FM and similar.

Will the 9600 cable work at full speed with the lite? or do I need to stick with the standard.

you shouldn’t have any trouble using vara fm WIDE.

both digirig mobile and digirig lite send tones via soundcard.
either will produce the tones from vara fm WIDE equally well.
(digirig isn’t a tnc so serial ports are a non issue)

with the correct cable and a capable transceiver, you’re good to go.
it seems you have both

good luck
