Digirig lite issues on battery power

Hi, the Digirig Lite has worked well with my Yaesu FT-1500M 2m mobile at home. I was trying park operation over the weekend using a large 12V LiFePO4 batter to power both the radio and miniPC.

One thing I noticed is that sometimes in adjusting the Digirig (unplugging from the radio, plugging into the miniPC), everything would turn off as if there had been a power surge or short. It would come back on after I removed the Digirig and powered up the miniPC and radio.

Any idea what might cause this? Is it a Digirig issues, miniPC issue, or radio issue in your opinion? Thanks.

This probably has to do with Digirig providing ground connection between the computer and radio. You can simulate the same by just connecting the grounds directly. You’ll likely observe the same effect.
