Digirig Lite Not Recognized on Laptop

Hello All, I recently received my Digirig Lite with the Baofeng Cables and when I plug either the USB or USB-C side of the Lite into my laptop, the device is not recognized in device manager under PORTS (Com & LPT). In fact, the PORTS selection doesn’t even populate. When I use the same USB port to run Winlink with my Xiegu X6100 with a USB Data cable, the PORT is visible.

Having said all of that, configuring the laptop, Digi-Lite, BaoFeng BF-F8HP, and running Vara FM in Winlink, the Digirig will trigger the PTT and the radio with transmit but not connect to the Vara FM Gateway. How do I get the Digirig recognized by my laptop? Thank You for your Time!

Brett,
There is no serial port in Digirig Lite. From what you posted it sounds like the sound card got recognized and PTT is working so you should be all set. If you don’t get a successful connection then the issue can be related to audio levels, RF conditions, wrong mode etc.

I would try driving closer to the digipeater to rule out RF as a factor.
