Devices are a Google Pixel 6XL, Digirig lite, Anytone 878 and APRS android. All things seem to work correctly, except that the Digirig doesn’t stay powered. Phone usersetting set to stay awake with APRS android running. With no explanation, the Digirig power lite goes out, and I can here the “squakl” coming over my phone speaker. Any ideas?
Maybe someone with the same combination will post. Have you tried using different USB hubs or USB-OTG? Have you checked your power-saving settings in Android?

I’ve tried 2 other Android tablets and a Fire tablet, getting the same results. Should have mentioned that. The phone, I believe has more power through the USB.
Thanks for explaining your process.

Does power issue coincide with you trying transmit?
Does it happen before the first transmit attempt?
Not that I can tell, just seems random on all devices. It will seem just fine, then I will hear the tones from my device, look at the cable, and no power. Tonight when we went to dinner, I plugged up the radio and my phone, And just let it set for our 10 minutes drive, and it didn’t cut off at all. Come back home and try it again, starts cutting off. I’m at a loss.
Try without transmission enabled and see if that makes any difference.
The RFI can be disruptive to USB connection especially while using with HTs using unbalanced antennas.
I ended up getting my son’s Digirig lite, and it works perfectly in all my different configurations, so that only leaves the Digirig not functioning correctly.
Sounds good. Service arrangements are in PM.
