Digirig Lite with an analog HT and android tablet

Hello!
I am building a set up of two android tablets, loaded with andflmsg, 2 Baofeng AR-152’s and/or other similar analog HT’s for data bursts during camping and outdoor activities.
I have the BTECH APRS-K1 PRO Multi-Function Audio Interface Cable with the USB-C jack connecting each tablet to an HT. Both radios are configured as needed for this to execute properly.
I’ve been function testing this set up and unfortunately, after much process of elimination, I realize that I may have an issue with the cables … patchy and although the PTT triggers when I hit “send text”, it’s never consistent and the signal hangs.
I was hoping I could find some help and I’m wondering if I can just stop using the BTECH cables and use the Digirig Lite to connect my analog radio to my tablets so I can send text back-and-forth with andflmsg.
I plan to go camping this fall in S.Florida. We are in the middle of planning our comms for the trip and after some discussion we would like to have this capability/feature.

I need all the help I can get. I am a greenhorn in this department.

It is certainly worth a try. Please follow up if you run into any issues in your project and folks here will be happy to help you troubleshoot them.

Man, you weren’t kidding….I went ahead and purchased my Digirig Lites had them for a bit before I thought to use them and basically it was plug-in play.
I just had to adjust a little bit the volume knob on the HT’s and BOOM. Texts were coming in.
Digirig Lite saved the day!

THANK YOU!

Hi,
What samsung tablets are you using? I have been trying to get my samsung 22+ to work with a digirig lite with no success.

They are actually ONN’s from Walmart.
BUT.
I recently purchased from Amazon two(2) Ulephones which are Android rugged unlocked phones and loaded flmsg on them and BOOM they work perfectly as well.
Digirig is AMAZING.
