May be a redundant question, but I’m getting a 500 error on search:
I have a spare DigiRig lite. Is there a way to use it with N3FJP to key a CW radio port (specifically, an FT857d, but any rig that you ground a port to key the rig)? PTT to the base of a 2N3904, perhaps?
You can use Digirig’s PTT switch to connect to CW port on the radio. This requires a homebrew cable:
3.5mm TRRS sleeve (GND) → 3.5mm TRS sleeve (GND)
3.5mm TRRS ring 2 (PTT) → 3.5mm TRS tip (CW)
The same method that normally triggers PTT (RST in Digirig Mobile or GPIO3/VOX in Digirig Lite) will trigger the CW.
