Digirig Mobile 9600bd config for BPQ32

I have documented my 9600bd Packet Radio setup using the Digirig Mobile TNC as applied to a WIN10 BPQ32 application. The soundmodem is based on the UZ7HO hs_soundmodem Ver 0,27 High-Speed Soundmodem.

These basics could be used as a guide for LinBPQ with the Direwolf soundmodem application.

Instead of a long drawn out dialog, I am including screen captures of each piece for the 9k6 packet radio port. One can use this same configuration with UZHO Easyterm software. Of course, you will have to select the AGWPE or KISS Server Ports to suit your setup.

Hope you find the information useful and/or a reference for a future 9600bd packet radio port.

Congratulations! That’s a great achievement to get 9600 rate with the open source tools. Did you mention which radios you are using? Also, strictly speaking, the hs_soundmodem is the software TNC, and Digirig mobile is the external soundcard.

John,
Thanks for sharing the settings. Very helpful.
One thing I would suggest is moving the default audio device assignment from Digirig audio components to your computer’s regular mic and speaker if you have any available. Without that the system sounds will end up on the air. I’m not sure if other audio devices in your system are disabled or disconnected. If former then you can just re-enable.

Good point! I didn’t think of that potential.
Thank you, 73

Well that did make sense. However, when I moved the default to the system speakers/mic the performance dropped off the map.
Trying a different approach at the moment. Moved the default back to the Digirig audio components. However, I disabled all the system sounds.
appears to be working well once again.
