Digirig Mobile and Yaesu VX-6R and WJIT-X

Using a VX-6R with Digirig Mobile and looking at FT8 settings used with WJIT-X - for those whose systems work, 1. what baud rate for Silicon Labs CP210x, 2. What mode setting (AM, FM, WFM - this is a frequency modulated), 3. Usual dipole antenna is horizontal or vertical?,
I see that VX-6R can transmit on 2M, 1.25M and 70 cm bands only and monitor others. 73

The rig profile selection and baud rate applies to the radios capable of serial CAT control. To my knowledge there are no HTs and only a handful of mobile FM radios that support CAT.

Also, keep in mind that the modes handled by WSJT-X are optimized for and usually operated over SSB - single side band, specifically upper side band.

You can still use your FM UHF/VHF radio for modes such as Winlink over VaraHF or packet, terrestrial or satellite APRS, terrestrial or satellite SSTV, VarAC etc.
