I am planning to use a Digirig with a Yaesu FT-847 in a fixed location using CAT Control primarily on VHF. I have seen there are/have been Digirig-Shack and Digirig-Mobile. Which would be appropriate for my application?

Only Digirig Mobile is available for purchase.
According to the manual the transceiver uses a standard 6pin MiniDin audio cable and DB9 serial CAT cable. You can use the below kit, Digirig in RS-232 configuration and a USB cable:
If you place an order, please leave a note that it is for Yaesu. Some models use crossed over TX/RS signals in DB9 cable.
