Digirig shows in the device manager on COM8, have the audio setup in sound settings, and it works fine in WSJTX, everything is running as expected.
However when setting up FLRig the COM8 just doesn’t show up as a drop down option, and the same in Winlink VARA HF settings. Similar story in N1MM. It seems like certain software just doesn’t want to see the COM port? I’ve tried restarting the PC and seeing if it was just locked to other software, but hasn’t changed.
yeah, i would think some other software is hoarding the comport but you tried to flush it with reboots.
me, i would have my desired software ‘up’, then plug the digirig mobile into another usb port.
this should force the os to assign a new comport # to the digirig mobile.
you could see if this new # is available in n1mm/flrig/etc

Additionally to @webmonkey 's recommendation keep in mind that for some weird reason you can type in values into some of FlDigi/Flrig’s select boxes. Give that a try.
