So I was using a QRP radio as a CW keyer for another transceiver which does not have a keyer. Things were working well.
Then the Digirig made everything a lot better, when I started using it to monitor the audio output (not the PTT or PA output!) of the QRP transceiver:
- I used the Digirig’s USB audio output channel to record my CW in Audacity.
- I used the Digirig’s USB audio output channel as an input to Zoom classroom, for others to hear my CW.
- I did not have to buy an external soundcard mixer and just used the Digirig.
- I could keep headphones plugged into the AUX jack on my computer to monitor.
- I could “get by” without buying a stand-alone keyer for CW.
The Digirig keeps saving me money, space and time in my shack.
