Is there any reason this would not work with an IC-7300? Other than an adapter to connect it, it looks like it will work great for POTA and an Icom 7300
Yes, it will work, just don’t blast it with the full power. Up to 30W with high duty digital modes or up to 50W on Voice/SSB.

the 7300 has the identical circuit as digirig, built in. You can use a shielded USB A (or C, whatever you have on the computer, to a USB B (Printer cable, thats on the older 7300). But, as digirig has, it should be a high quality shielded USB cable. Just setup the 7300. Google is you friend. I use Digirig to interface to rigs with no CI-V Cat control, like a simple stupid Baofend or older rigs with no rig control. Digirig performs the CAT control on older rigs by operating the PTT using the RST or CST logic level signal from a serial interface for RS232. The larger Digirig includes the chip to convert logical serial to RS232 voltage speck plus/minus 12v logic levels. RST & CST are “Ready to Receive” and “Clear to Receive” as spec for RS232 in the 70’s. Take time to read the documentation. Digirig is a fine product.
