Direwolf issue with Digirig

I am running the newest version of Mint Linux and I have a Digirig connected between my computer and my Xiegu G90 radio. The Digirig is working fine with FLRIG and WSJTX.

Here are some relevant commands:

arecord -l

direwolf -p

Dire Wolf version 1.6

Includes optional support for: gpsd hamlib cm108-ptt

Reading config file direwolf.conf

Audio device for both receive and transmit: plughw:2,0 (channel 0)

Could not open audio device plughw:2,0 for output

Device or resource busy

Pointless to continue without audio device.

Can someone help me resolve this issue?

thank you

Have you listed your audio devices to make sure plughw:2,0 is correct?

yes, I did use the arecord -l command and then set the value in direwolf.conf file.

Could you possibly have a background app that’s using the digirig sound card?

I just rebooted an tried again and everything works as expected!

Thank you

I have a similar setup, Digirig on a LInux Mint 21.1 to Alinco DR-135T.

everything seems to work good when the same setup is running on Window 10, direwolf is reading and sending via com3. when I put that on Linux it can read, but can not send, so I suspect it has something to do with the PTT

following this blog by KT1RUN: I use PTT /dev/ttyUSB0 RTS as well as PTt /dev/tty-digirig RTS

neither create any error when direwolf is started,I can see the send on the screen, but it would not key up the radio.

I used the same conf file except changing the 2 lines, about the sound card and PTT

any advice before giving up and going back to windows.
