Does Yaesu 9600bps also work for 1200bps?

This is probably a dumb question, but:

Does the “Yaesu MiniDin10 9600-baud Data and CAT Cable” also work for 1200bps data? I know that if I configure the radio (a Yaesu FTM-6000) for 9600 bps operation that audio will be present on the correct pin, but will the unprocessed audio cause any difficulties for a TNC/Direwolf that is expecting the processed audio normally present on the 1200bps output?

You should not suffer any penalty for using 1200 baud based modes with 9600 baud audio path.
The software will take care of the wider band signal processing.
