F8 problems , total fustration

I have an ic-7600 , loaded ft8 , loaded proper driver, proper fields entered in General, Radio, Audio modes. I am on net time for sync. I received contacts in band activity but no contact when I activate cat tab it shows green, ptt tab shows red , program tells me everything is good but no contacts . Watched numerous videos everything they show me I have correctly entered. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

i’ve not owned the IC-7600 but i think it might not support PTT via CI-V.

so in wsjt-x, in the ‘radio’ tab of settings, choose RTS in the PTT section and the same comport selected in the cat control section.

I’m guessing Digirig is not involved? Icom IC-7600 doesn’t need Digirig, just a USB cable to computer.
