Does anyone on this list have experience with successfully using a digirig with Fldigi on a Raspberry Pi ? If so, I’m hoping you can help me. I’m really stuck…
I am having a new problem with getting Fldigi working correctly with a digirig on my Raspberry Pi 4.
A month ago I had the digirig connect with FLDG correctly and it showed up in Configuration > Soundcard > Devices as “USB PnP Sound Device:(Audio 5,0)” as seen in (Screenshot (1) below).
(1) Fldigi and digirig Configuration > Soundcard > Devices (one month ago):
In the meantime, I had some trouble getting my GPS to work and I spent some time fiddling with my USB connections and ports. I think it was a USB 3 Hub interference issue and I did get the GPS to work again finally by using several ferrite rings on the various cables coming in to the Pi.
But I must have screwed something up, because now, when I try to connect the digirig to Fldigi, the device no longer shows up in the dropdown list to select as “USB PnP…” above, but all I see is the lists as seen in the screenshots below:
(2) Fldigi and digirig Configuration > Soundcard > Devices (now):
(2a) Fldigi and digirig Configuration > Soundcard > Devices > Playback (now):
(2b) Fldigi and digirig Configuration > Soundcard > Devices > Capture (now):
I think this could be an issue with the serial port. Could there be a conflict with some other application or process on my Pi?
Can anyone help me to figure out how to get the digirig to appear in Fldigi again?
(Troubleshooting note: I know the digirig is working correctly because it works fine with Fldigi on my Mac mini.)
======== Background =======
The digirig is still visible in terminal:
