Flrig finds digirig com port but wont connect

This was working for me for a while. Suddenly stopped. When I plug the digirig into my PC (done this with 2 different ones) a new COM port (COM5) appears. When I hit the “INIT” button in flrig it tells me it can’t connect and I should check baud rate (19200) and port. What is puzzling is that this used to work.
Thoughts?

Also tried Omnirig with similar results. Wondering if the line input jack on the G90 has gone bad.

is the digirig serial cable plugged in the correct way around?
angled end of cable plugged into the head of the radio (weird human icon, not headphones) and the straight end plugged into the serial jack of the digirig?

your last line say ‘line input jack’.
that sounds like audio rather than the serial port/cat control of the first part of your post.
which part isn’t working?

if you plug the digirig into a DIFFERENT usb port or hub or splitter, you get a NEW usb audio device entry in the device manager and that would ‘throw off’ your audio settings in the various ham radio software.
also, the current g90 firmware uses:
U-D (or L-D) for rear acc input/output
USB/LSB (etc etc) for microphone/speaker

so there’s a couple of thoughts for serial or audio.

good luck

Thanks for your thoughts. Changing USB ports does not help. As I said, flrig “sees” the COM port. It is the one that is the Silicon Labs UART … and disappears if I unplug the digirig. What seems to be the issue is not the connection between Digirig and PC, but between Digirig and G90. Trying to figure out how to diagnose this.
