FLRig setup with digirig logic levels and ft-891

I can get wsjtx working within wsjtx (without using FLRig), but I am not sure how to get it to work with FLRig.

I understand only the audio cable is used for the digirig, and that a separate USB printer cable needs to be used for CAT control

This is for a friend who has the 891.

I really need to get both CAT control and PTT to work with FLRig.

Does anyone know what the options should be to get it to work?

This runs on linux. But it should be the same with windows (using COM ports), instead of /dev/tty* ports on linux.

In FlRig you configure PTT and CAT separately.

  • CAT config should be pointing to the COM port created when you connect the radio to computer directly. The relevant settings go into Xcvr section of the configuration
  • PTT config should be pointing to the COM port created when you connect Digirig to the computer. The relevant settings go into PTT-generic or PTT (depending on version). PTT control on separate serial port, select PTT via RTS option.
