I have used this a few times and last week I set it all up on a table in my shack. However, one of tiny pins on the cable from digirig bent over and touched the one next to it. Once I caught this I straightened it out but I cannot see any signal coming into the SSTV app.
I’ve moved the USB connector and reconfigured the audio port number to match and even the com port matches but I get an error “Can’t open sound card”. Could the Digirig modem have died?
If you plugged Digirig into a different USB port then your computer created another set of devices, including new recording and playback devices. You’ll need to repeat audio setup steps which means you will also need to adjust sound card selection in your ham radio software to make it reference the new device copies.
K0TX, Correct and yes as expected it changes the Audio port number. I also change that in the config of MMSSTV and WSJT-X software. By doing this I rule out an issue with those audio ports. The Com port stays the same. My problem stays the same, it cannot open the “sound card”. I still need to complete the Troubleshooting DIgital Modes - digirig. I’ll come back once I go through those steps.
