FT-897D/LDG - what do I need to order, exactly

I really want this product to work, but so far I’m 0 for 2 with getting either unit I bought to work with either type of Motorola I bought them for. I gave away the two 1.5s I purchased before, so that’s a dead issue…but I really want something this size to use with my FT897 instead of the spaghetti mess with external adjustments that is the Signalink USB.

I just want to order once, and get the right cables and a correctly configured unit the first time. USPS is such a shitshow, I do not want to mess with returns or having to deal with ‘oops, that’s not the right cable” or whatever.

Exactly what part numbers do I need to order to have this working the first time?

Here’s the kit you’ll need for your Yaesu:

  1. Digirig Mobile in logic levels configuration: Digirig Mobile – digirig
  2. transceiver cables: Yaesu FT-8xx cords for Digirig Mobile – digirig
  3. one of the USB cables: USB Cables – digirig

Please start a new thread if you decide to resurrect your Motorola project. It should be easier with the new Digirig - all relevant connections are on a single socket.

I still want to use the XTS5000s for data, but I don’t want to make the cables myself. DIMyself has really lost its entertainment value over the last three years…
