FT817 and Hardrock-50 amp

I have a FT817 and Hardrock-50 amp The Hardrock-50 uses the 817’s ACC jack for Band Data and PPT.
How do I use the Digirig and the Amp together?

ACC port on FT-817 is MiniDin8. You can try a splitter:

It may not work if amp is trying to talk back to the radio because that will create an output conflict with serial traffic coming from Digirig. Please report your results if you decide to give it a try.

I guess my best method will be to use signal sensing on the Hardrock-50 instead of a hard PPT signal and manual set the band. BTW I find I have to change the FT817 setting to no on the Hardrock-50 in order to set the band manually.
