FTM-100DR with Direwolf & YAAC

Am trying to use a FTM-100DR currently configured to use Direwolf & YAAC that is installed and configured on Debian 12 to function but at this point no joy. The issue I am currently experiencing with the FTM-100 is when I send manually send a beacon from YAAC the FTM-100DR clicks while attempting to transmit. For testing purposes I swapped the FTM-100DR with a FTM-400 using the same digirig and data cable that worked flawlessly.

I am using the Yaesu FTM MiniDin10 Cable.

Any tips greatly appreciated,

Do you experience the same issue with the RF power set to minimum?
This could be a power supply issue or RFI issue among other possibilities. Check your radio to confirm that it works for voice QSO too.

Hi Denis,

Thanks for you response!

I set power level to lowest setting with the same result, the radio has
been working Wires-X with no issues.

I performed a test on the cable by disconnecting the black plug from the
digirig and shorting its ground and R2(?) and the radio keyed up.

Good troubleshooting.
Are you using Digirig Mobile or Digirig Lite?
Which PTT method do you configure in the software?

Am using a Digirig Mobile and am using PTT /dev/ttyUSB0 RTS which worked
fine when I subbed in the FTM 400.

Am beginning to wonder if something is wrong with the data connection on
the FTM 100. There is a cable available that feeds the audio and PTT
via the microphone connector, believe I will order that cable and give
it a try. Really have not other place in my setup for the FTM 100 so
that may be my best course of action.

Thanks for ur assistance!
